What began as plans for a Sunnyvale kitchen remodel evolved into a complete whole-home renovation and addition, thoughtfully designed to support multigenerational living. The success of this transformation required careful planning to address accessibility, noise reduction, and the unique needs of family members across different age groups. The design balances independent living spaces with shared gathering areas and private retreats, allowing everyone to enjoy both connection and personal space.
Deep, rich burgundy cabinetry transforms this once-outdated and cluttered kitchen into a space full of warmth, character, and sophistication. The regal cabinetry is beautifully contrasted by smoky gold leathered quartzite countertops and cool-toned tile flooring, creating a captivating interplay between rich, warm hues and elegant neutrals. Subtle veining in the quartzite echoes the depth of the burgundy while pairing seamlessly with the natural warmth of the alder cabinetry.
The existing layout lacked flow and openness, by removing the wall that once separated the kitchen and dining room, the Sunnyvale Remodel creates a more open, connected flow between the two spaces while showcasing the striking two-tier peninsula. The tabletop height tier provides a comfortable gathering space for casual meals, conversation, or enjoying a morning coffee, while enhancing the kitchen’s functionality and connection to the rest of the home.
Remodeling the entire house and adding an addition to the front of the house gave space and creativity to reconfigure the primary suite. Large format tiles, storage galore, lit medicine cabinets and newly added massive sunlight, the ensuite reveals a bright, colorful transformation filled with personality and purpose.
The new addition offers a fresh, flexible living space that can be completely closed off when privacy is desired. Complete with its own living area, two bedrooms, and a full bathroom, the space provides both independence and connection—making it ideal for multigenerational living.
The newly added full bathroom includes a bidet toilet, a striking green tile double niche walk-in shower designed with accessibility in mind is complemented by dual shower heads and a suitable teak bench. The full wall tile backsplash drenches the custom vanity wall and is complimented by a Lit recessed medicine cabinet for added storage creating a bathroom that is as practical as it is beautiful.
The result is a colorful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed addition that gives every member of the family a place to gather, recharge, and feel at home.A fresh space. A colorful transformation. A home made for every generation.
