Santa Clara addition and Remodel

Ascot

In this modern craftsman style home the existing kitchen was a very small galley kitchen, and was separated from the rest of the house. The client wanted an open dining room, and a kitchen that was part of the open floor plan that could be used for entertaining.

By removing the walls this allowed us to put the dining room in the new addition area. The kitchen space was then reconfigured in the existing location. The client also wanted to highlight the music room, and have the option to close off the space when needed, so a barn door was installed between the music room and the great room for this purpose. The barn door added an appealing touch to the remodeled areas.
“As someone who has been involved with building thousands of Starbucks stores over the years. I have a bit more experience in understanding the difference between a good contractor and a great contractor. Good contractors get the job done, mostly on time and maybe on budget. Great contractors get the job done and have ways of dealing with the "unknown unknowns" without a lot of drama Make no mistake - almost every job will have some hiccups. Recovering gracefully from those hiccups and having a playbook of mitigation plans that are time tested and well executed is the mark of a GREAT contractor. We got this with May Construction.”
